Sleeping 10 people in 5 bedrooms (2 double rooms/3 twin, 2 ensuite), this canal-side cottage is perfect for families and friends wanting to explore the Staffordshire Peak District, the Potteries of Stoke-on-Trent and the market town of Leek. Alton Towers theme park is half an hour away. A fully equipped kitchen, dining table and chairs for 10 people, large sitting room with log burner and bifold doors out to a private garden. Full bathroom upstairs, family shower room downstairs. Games room.

Ashmount cottage by the river Dane

Period cottage in a area of outstanding natural beauty within the Peak District on the banks of the river Dane. Lovely views and walking straight from the door along the river, through the woods and up onto the Roaches, Tittersworth ( Bird Sanctuary circular walk around the reservoir, 5 miles) Ashmount is strictly for 2 guests as you are in my home albeit the space is yours for the time of your stay i live in a totally separate part of the property I am close enough should you require help

In a tranquil, rural setting, with views of the Cheshire Plain, this is a great place to recharge your batteries. It is well located to visit the Peak District, or get the train into Manchester from Macclesfield or Congleton. There are a number of National Trust properties within easy reach , as well as Alton Towers, Chatsworth House, the antique shops of Leek and the pottery towns of Stoke on Trent.

Dogs welcome. There is a small courtyard only but plenty of walks and fields for exercising your 4-legged friend.
