The house was perfect for a large group of family to get together for a ski weekend, we had some of the group ski and some stayed back and the house was a perfect place to hangout with everyone.

Kyle has done an amazing job with this cabin, it’s clear that so much thought has been put into everything. It is decorated beautifully and has everything you might need to feel at home. We loved spending time here for our anniversary and can’t wait to return with our kids next time.

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. One of the cleanest and well kept rentals we’ve ever stayed in! Attention to design and detail was appreciated. Kyle was very responsive to our messages when we needed help. Seemed that since we visited off season, less activity around town, but still enjoyed our time. Wish we had realized the State Park was closed still from the ice storm. It was disappointing, but we took a lot of Kyle’s recommendations in his guidebook at the cabin for local spots to hike and walk with our dog. Wish we had been able to try more restaurants, many sounded delicious. Our first visit to northern Michigan, Petoskey must be a busy place in the summer! Would suggest if you visit during less busy months to research ahead and see what is going on and open around town so you know what to expect.

Loved the proximity to ski hill, restaurants and towns. Place was comfortable and nicely appointed. The only drawback was the master bathroom was only a half bath and that was not made clear.

The cabin was perfect for our family ski weekend! We had plenty of space for everyone, 4 couples and 2 babies. We enjoyed the beautiful view off the deck with the hot tub. Ski in/out was perfect and it was a beautiful weekend of spring skiing!

A wonderful time at a tucked away house in the woods! There was so much that the house provided it was hard to leave! Would stay here again and again!

We had a great time at the cabin. It was conveniently located near Boyne Mountain which was about 5 mins away. It snowed both days while we were there so it made skiing more enjoyable. The cabin was clean, spacious and had everything we needed… well mostly. (We couldn’t find a cheese grater or potato peeler). The hot tub was nice and relaxing after a day of skiing. We would definitely come back!

Second time at this amazing spot on Lake Michigan. Highly recommended for a getaway trip to relax and do some rock hounding. There are several local spots within a half days drive for either beaches, trails or food.

Rustic, private and peaceful retreat. No outside distractions only nature. The half mile Loop was great for walking our dogs and we did it every day. We were halfway between Mackinaw City and Petoskey. Both were great to visit and walk the dogs. We found parks and trails all around to hike and enjoy.

As locals without an accessible home after “The Storm of a Lifetime” we felt like home. There are those who would not feel comfortable in such an old cabin with its quirks. We loved it!

The setting is so idyllic and peaceful! The cabin is clean, well maintained and a fun place to hang out. We really enjoyed our stay and we hope to stay there again in the future.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Peace Retreat. The location could not have been better, with Lake Michigan just a walk away, and the beautiful trails for easy walking behind the property. We loved the yard set up, with a campfire ready for us to enjoy, the hammocks, and little paths to enjoy the property. We loved all the extra blankets and quirky furnishings inside the home, and it was perfect for us to enjoy a mother daughter weekend.

We stayed here for a ski trip. The cabin was close to Nubs Nob and Boyne Highlands, where we went. We enjoyed some great meals in Petoskey, which isn’t too far of a drive. The cabin was very nice, clean, comfortable, and peaceful! We really enjoyed our stay!

This was an awesome stop for our family of 5. Just a few minutes from Boyne Mtn resort, snow was all cleared, parking in the heated garage was perfect for taking off our ski gear and letting the snow melt off the car. Kitchen is unbelievably well stocked compared to any other Airbnb I've used (too bad we hardly put it to use, but perhaps next time!). We loved seeing all the deer every day around the cabin, as they put out food for them on the property. Beds were comfortable and everyone slept great. Snacks set out and water bottles were a nice touch. My kids thought the hot chocolate K-cups were the best thing ever. Kelly was easy to communicate with and helpful when my daughter accidentally locked us out of the cabin (whoops!). We loved our stay and wish we had stayed a couple more days here. Lastly, highly recommend Betty's just down the street. Great breakfast and lunch.

Fun fall get away for up north exploring.

Loved Diane’s cabin, it was just what we needed for some R&R! Loved being near the water and in such peaceful surroundings. The cabin was very clean and well taken care of!

Beautiful, tranquil and peaceful. We needed a restful spot after moving. Batteries got recharged. Would love to go back! Andrew and Dana very responsive and friendly.

This location was extremely peaceful and exactly what we needed to focus on our relationship and nothing else. Room only for 2 people comfortably. It was a 25 minute drive from boat launch so car rental is strongly suggested. Beaver Island is perfect to just slow down your pace for a few days!

Great location close to town. Friendly neighbors. Shared yard and beach with other cottages and condos. View of Paradise Bay. We watched the Curragh races from the beach and loved the Irish Feile! Quiet cottage. Reminded me of our family’s hunting camp. Entrance step is bit tall if you have any mobility issues. Enjoyed cooking whitefish from the island market in the workable kitchen. We brought our own sheets, quilts, pillows, bath/beach/kitchen, cookware, knives, etc and were happy we did. Would recommend. Thanks for a relaxing week and sweet stay.

Great place to stay for couples weekend get away. don't be scared off by the fact it is not a real toilet. She keeps the outhouse very clean and it does not even smell like an outhouse. She even kindly gave us hot water for the outdoor shower one of the days as it was a bit colder when we were up there.

I thought this place was amazing! Exactly what we were looking for. A little dusty in a few spots, but you can’t expect perfect while staying in the “ woods”. Had to wash the dishes prior to using them, you can tell it’s been a while since they’ve been used. No hustle, and not a complaint. Everything I needed, Ashley was right there! 10/10 would recommend. Also very close to machines island, which is where we went.

This is a very beautiful place to stay with countless “up north” towns and attractions within a 30 to 45min drive. The view of the river from the lounge area was especially lovely in the mornings and evenings. We had multiple visits from the local deer and chipmunks (as an Aussie this was a a real treat). The interior had lovely decorations and felt very homely. All as described and has anything you might need. Larry is a top bloke and was very welcoming and happy to lend a hand if needed. Highly recommend!
