Our stay at the farm was fantastic, it met the requirements we needed for us and our extended family. Fantastic directions to find the house. Very peaceful and relaxing. Great amenities and activities for all ages who stayed at the house. Close enough to the town to go in for meals at local pub and cafes. The horses were very friendly and enjoyed the carrots we brought.

Carol and Terry are very friendly and very lovely hosts. Their place is lovely with beautiful surrounds, very close to zoo - you can see giraffes in the morning and hear lions roaring at sunset - likey being on safari! There is an excellent hot tub. Beds were super comfortable. Would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended.

St Albans is a beautiful place. The Blue Barn has a great outlook onto the Macdonald Rover Valley. We really enjoyed the peace and tranquility of the location 2.4km out of town. a great place. People just need to be aware that the town of St Albans has limited infrastructure. The local pub, is an old Australian classic and the coffee at the Pickled Wombat is quite good. However, the quiet location is why you go to St Albans!

Definitely one of the best AirBnB we have stayed at. Judy and Bruce were welcoming, helpful and friendly, even allowing us to check in an hour early (after a very early start for an early flight). Corona cottage is delightful and has everything you could need for a relaxing weekend. Unfortunately, the sofa bed was rather squeaky, but comfortable according to our adult son who slept on it, and the queen bed was very comfortable. The grounds are perfectly maintained and the pool looked lovely (although we did not get to use it due to rainy weather). A nice touch was the fresh fruit bowl and continental breakfast supplied. Overall, an amazing place for our family to relax and unwind, I highly recommend it if you are visiting the area.

We had such a lovely time here! It was a retreat we very much needed. Loved the peaceful surroundings, we enjoyed our walks in early morning and evening. Having breakfast with a view was our favourite part of all :)

The backyard is amazing, with the pool being the main attraction. The large kitchen with everything you need leads to a nice covered balcony—perfect for unwinding after a long day. The beds were super comfy, and the location is excellent, with supermarkets and restaurants just a few minutes away. Tanya was a wonderful host, very communicative and a lovely person to talk to. Thanks for a lovely stay, Pinny. This was a perfect getaway for our young family. The house itself has large, open living areas, with plenty of floor space for children to run around and do cartwheels. The area surrounding the house is open, flat, well maintained lawn. We enjoyed a having a campfire and feeding the farm animals. Pinny came to visit and told us all about the animals and made us feel welcome. Then, when we lost the key, she let us into the house and let us know as soon as she could what fee we'd be up for to get things sorted. We would love to come back and stay one day.

Above our expectations. Such a great place. Woke up to kangaroos around on a couple days. Bed was comfy, the place was clean and the 2 fire places fantastic. Everything we could wish for for a refreshing weekend close to the wineries but off-grid.

We had a wonderful stay at Alphawood – it was exactly what we had in mind for our group of 6 couples and 3 infants. The house felt like a big, welcoming family home with plenty of space for everyone to relax and enjoy themselves. The kitchen was impressively well-equipped – even our Italian friends were satisfied, which says a lot! The property itself is beautiful, peaceful, and thoughtfully laid out. The pool was a little chilly in early April, but we still made the most of it. Would absolutely recommend Alphawood for a group getaway!

We used the house as a base for our daughter’s wedding on the recommendation of a friend who had done the same. It proved to be a great idea as the house provided ample space and facilities for bridesmaids and our family. The grounds and house were perfect for wedding prep photos and videos. The setting is beautiful with sweeping bush views beyond grassy paddocks. Everyone who stayed with us agreed it was perfect for us and we may be back in the future for another wedding!

We had a fantastic stay at Kirsten and Paul's place in Tumbi Umbi. Beautiful spot which felt like the countryside but was also a stone's throw to everything the Central Coast has to offer. Loved it! Emma's place was lovely! It's quiet, peaceful and private with beautiful surroundings and cute animals; the donkeys are very friendly and the tennis court is a great touch too. Would come here again!

A lovely stay with the kids. Close enough to the Hunter Valley attractions for easy adventures, and far enough away to feel like a country break. Daniel and Renee were very responsive hosts. The outdoor firepit and meeting the animals were accommodation highlights.

Belinda’s cottage was wonderful! We loved feeding the horses and sitting out back watching them roam around. We had two kids with us (a toddler and a baby) and there was plenty of extra toys (play-dough, games, books, and colouring) which was a lovely surprise for our little one. Would highly recommend for families!

What a beautiful place to relax in peaceful surroundings that were private and had so many little extras that made our stay even more enjoyable. Feeding the ponies, the dart board, bbq, we didn’t even get to the board games and cards that were also assessable. We loved our stay. Thank you for having us.

Susan & her husband even let us ‘forage’ for passionfruits for our breakfast in their lovely cottage garden too. Absolutely beautiful cottage just outside the very charming town of Wollombi. The cottage has everything you could need - with up market products and soft linens. It must have been designed by a professional interior designer!

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Terry and Kelly’s cabin. Beautiful home and garden bordered by hillside. Great communication and hospitality from our hosts. The cabin had everything we needed, was comfortably furnished with rustic charm and even had some home grown items from their garden to utilise when cooking. We did part of the GNW hike but Terry mentioned there are better walks so would recommend future guests reach out for some local knowledge if this is of interest. Great place to disconnect and very reasonable price.

Tracey & Carl's place was fantastic. The check-in instructions were really clear and easy to follow. I would definately recommend anyone wanting to experience the Hunter Valley region stay here.
