The River House was the perfect getaway for a month. The location is removed enough to feel peaceful and serene, yet a quick drive into town for groceries didn’t feel daunting. Some highlights: - The sunroom is a huge perk and we loved reading in there - Hosts provided lots of fun ways to enjoy the property and water - kayaks, floaties, outdoor seating, fire pit, etc - Joan is the nicest, friendliest point of contact. Couldn’t have asked for a better host - The entire house is super well stocked, including anything & everything you could need in the kitchen, tons of extra towels, and snuggly blankets to use on the couch

We enjoyed our stay at Maureen's house. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful, but also only 2 miles or less from popular restaurants. It was also very safe and convenient to ride bicycles down Church Street to downtown Elizabeth City for the start of the Cycle NC Coastal Ride event.

This place was a great spot, it was a great neighborhood with lots of restaurants within walks bf distance which was great!! We would book again in a heartbeat!

We were so excited to have such a wonderful house for our long cycling weekend. Our group of nine adults had plenty of room and enjoyed the house’s many amenities: roomy kitchen, comfortable furniture, expansive backyard, and welcoming front porch. The house was exceptionally clean and newly renovated and all the beds were comfortable, Our host responded promptly and was accommodating. The location is excellent. We were able to walk to the downtown and its shops, bars, restaurants and waterfront.  We would stay there again in a heartbeat. 

Michelle’s cottage was clean and convenient. It was right on the sound with beautiful views and a private dock. The neighborhood was very quiet. Michelle was helpful and responsive and we look forward to staying there again in the future!

This was the perfect place for our group! We attended the NC Coastal Bike Ride and this place allowed us to ride our bikes to the starting point and back. It was also a comfortable place for us to hangout and rest. We would definitely recommend.

We enjoyed how close to downtown EC the house was. We felt right at home. The house was clean. It was a nice quiet neighborhood. Kristin was great with communication. There was a chirping smoke detector when we arrived and Kristin got it taken care of quickly. We enjoyed Hoppin John's restaurant, Totally Thai, and Kraken Coffee House. Enjoyed walking downtown, on the trails the Dismal Swamp State Park, and at Fun Junction. Looking forward to staying again in the future.

We had the most peaceful weekend at Barco Cottage! The views of the sound were stunning, and the cottage was spotless and fully stocked with everything we needed — from laundry soap to shampoo. Brooke was an amazing host, super responsive and thoughtful. We brought our two dogs (a sweet girl and a playful boy), and they loved it just as much as we did. The property is private and quiet, perfect for relaxing. We especially loved the pier — morning coffee and sunsets there were unforgettable. The nearby marina also had amazing food. Couldn’t have asked for a better getaway. Highly recommend and can’t wait to come back!

Gia’s place was perfect for 2. Cozy, comfortable bed. Great view. It was just as she described. Very easy to get in. She was very responsive. I had an issue with a shade and she responded immediately very affordable. We will definitely go back.

We loved our stay at Karen’s place. The apartment is very comfortable, and the views are spectacular. I wish we had more time to enjoy the offerings. We hope to come back again!

My wife and I are kayaking the ICW and needed a place near the water to wait out a storm. Gia’s place is PERFECTLY located! We landed right in front of the apartment and it was easy to pull the boat out with the little boat ramp. Also, it is just across the water from the famous restaurant at Coinjock marina that everyone had been telling us about. Gia have lots of great instructions on how to enter, though the local recommendations were over the top (I think this is encouraged by AirBnB, though). Her responses were immediate, which helped us quickly decide to book with her because she is so proactive. The apartment is just as described, and had everything we needed for our two night stay. We liked having the little balcony with a view of the water. That is a nice feature!! The building itself is in need of some maintenance, though that won’t affect your stay. It seems as if a bunch of improvement work is underway at the premises, meaning this place will be even more amazing soon!

There was amazing concern for the small details throughout the property. It was well equipped to a good standard. It suited our needs as a couple perfectly. It was a convenient location and close to amenities but on a very quiet and private road. Lots of little extras and the selection of different coffee and chocolate capsules for the machine was really appreciated. A large comfortable bad, a clean shower room, well equipped kitchen plus a comfortable lounge and dining area. Parking was easy and well off the street.

This was an extremely beautiful location on the water and Alice was a sure nice lady that I met when I arrived! She also answered a question that I really needed on short notice and came through and lead me in the right direction and in a timely manner!

Jen was SO friendly and accommodating!! I booked the Dock House for my best friends bachelorette trip; she allowed me to decorate freely & have an early check in so I could set up before the rest of the party arrived! Everything is within a 10 minute drive or an even a walk if you don’t mind a few miles a day. Neighborhood was quite, our upstairs neighbors were up one night STARTING construction at 12am and it lasted until about 2am so that was pretty annoying (especially for our stay- we were trying to relax before the wedding and that really ticked me off because it’s in the manual for the area: quite hours are from 10pm-7am so there’s no excuse, but they were quite the other nights after that so it’s fine & to no fault of Jen/Stew!) We had more than enough space throughout the house and the large connecting deck from the dinning room, to the family room/kitchen, to the main bedroom was SO pretty in the morning & perfect for our meals throughout the day! Will DEFINITELY be back!! 🫶
