Another very pleasant overnight stay at this home. Would easily stay longer if time allowed. Place was spotless and well equipped with everything we need (including back-up lights for load shedding). Dogs also had a safe space to roam around in. Shops and take-aways were within walking distance - so very convenient. Also nice view of surrounding mountain, in a quite part of the town.

Lovely old house but with all mod cons and comfortably furnished. Walking distance from all attractions and restaurants. Highly recommended.

This is a lovely farm house in Nieu Bethesda. Very comfortable rooms and bed. Cool and airy space (especially because we arrived during a heat spell) and fans (which were really appreciated). As others have noted, the bathroom is small and does not have a shower only a bath which my elderly father struggled with but this is manageable for a day or two. Otherwise, the hosts and the house are lovely. The small museum / gallery on the property houses some truly beautiful and remarkable tapestries.

We loved staying in Marion’s cottage! Felt right at home. Good sleep, good shower and boys could play in the garden. Parking the car securely off the street behind house was a big plus for us.

Jess’s cottage in the mountain (almost in the mountain) is a real gem. Surrounded by nature and wildlife. Many routes to hike, run & drive, or just spend the day out in the field with a picnic basket. Very comfortable beds & furniture to make one’s stay so much more relaxing. Views to die for ! And the most friendly dog (Pumpkin) ever ! If I could steal her, I would. If you want to recharge your batteries and have peace, this is the place to be at !!!!

Would have wanted to stay over longer, but could not. Tranquility, farm and nature absorb you all at once. The type of place for longer stays, if you want some alone-time, have you and your loved ones only for yourself or want to bathe in the twilight of transition between city-, old-fashioned farmstyle- and nature-living

Beautifully curated house with all the amenities one could need and more. Perfectly situated for walking around town. Felt very private and safe. Beautiful view of the mountains from the courtyard. My only gripe is having to go back to my own house after staying at Casa Karoo.

Our family of four came from East London meeting up with my in-laws from Carnarvon for a long weekend three night stay. Lara's place was awesome, the kids loved Netflix. The indoor & outdoor braai is awesome giving you options depending on the weather. Supermarkets are really close by to get groceries and the rest is all at the accomodation to cater for one self. The beds were super comfortable and two bathrooms were really convenient. Furniture in the house are also top class. Highly recommend Lara's place for anybody seeking accommodation in Graaff Reinet.

Classic location for our big group of family and friends. Beautiful old homestead surrounded by nature. We'll be back.
