We are a 15 minute walk into the village or 2 minutes by car. Please note we welcome very well behaved dogs, but strictly not on the furniture or upstairs on the beds.

It is in a rural setting about 4 miles outside the market town of Cockermouth but is actually located in the Lake District National Park with stunning views over the fells, Binsey, Skiddaw, Bassenthwaite Lake and Keswick. The lodge has been designed to make the most of those idyllic views and is a retreat for anyone wanting to relax, unwind and enjoy our “world Heritage” status.

Set in two acres of mature trees, gardens and river frontage, with lots of wildlife.

Calva is a spacious family home at the foot of the Northern Fells in the cosy village of Caldbeck, situated directly on the Cumbria Way. The house sleeps 8 people in king, queen, double and 2 single beds with room for an additional 2 on sofa beds at an additional charge per head. The village plays host to a wealth of locally run amenities with a small shop, petrol station, cafes and a classic pub for a meal with locally brewed ale.
