Wow this place is BEAUTIFUL! The home itself has some character/cabin style. It was well stocked with cooking gear, fire wood, games, kayaks, first aid, and anything else you might need. Very clean and comfortable. The view of the river is amazing and you can walk down at any time and go paddleboarding or Kayaking with the equipment provided! So cool, will definitely be back. Ted was also very responsive and generous. Thanks Ted!

We loved this place! Perfect for our family with young kids. Lots of room to play outside; beautiful view of the lake; well stocked kitchen so we could prepare meals with ease. Super clean and welcoming! This was our second stay, and we will most likely return in the future!

This place was absolutely perfect! It is quiet, beautiful, and ideal for anyone looking for a countryside getaway. The cabin was rustic and charming, very well kept, clean, nicely furnished, and had all the supplies and amenities that we could have wanted. We enjoyed fishing in the pond, and caught and released some bluegill and bass. (big plus that fishing gear was provided). The front porch was inviting and relaxing, just what we needed at the end of the day. Ty, the owner, was very helpful and responsive . I had a question and he answered immediately, and he was genuinely nice. Overall, it wasn’t just a treat, but a retreat, and if we were passing through, or on another vacation, we will definitely stay here again!

This was my first visit to see my son and daughter in law in Cross Plains. We found the town folk very welcoming and the town charming. Phil’s bunkhouse was perfect for our visit with the most comfy beds ever! I will be back!!

We have stayed here several times! It is amazing each visit. April and Jose are the kindest people. They are there if you need them. The location is awesome for hunting. I could see bringing my family back just for a get-away! Can’t say enough great things!

This place was very nice and fit our needs well. We enjoyed the accommodations. The kitchen was a little small and with no dishwasher it made it a little difficult to cook and wash dishes but there were plenty of things to cook with. When you use the oven it makes the place rather warm since its a small space so you need to use the oven and AC units mindfully. Everything was very comfortable otherwise and i would recommend this place to someone visiting Brownwood

Great place for kids or a couple air conditioners great kitchen for a cooker

Very quick overnight trip. Wish we would have gotten to enjoy the great outdoor setup, but we just didn’t have the time. It was a great stay for the small amount of time we were there, and was less expensive than all the nicer hotels around during the baseball tournament.

Our stay at Wonderland was perfect! From the house being very comfortable and updated, to Rob assisting us with our needs and even keeping an eye on the severe storms for us. We would absolutely love to stay here again, we felt right at home!

This was our second stay at John’s Bunkhouse. It’s peaceful and quiet and has everything that we needed.

Great place! Very cute and cozy! Very close to marina for fishing and boating. Huge porch with lots of seating. Great outdoor grilling area. Very comfy beds!

Todd was very nice and responsive when I messaged him. We loved the place. We had a family gathering and it was perfect for the family. It has a wonderful view. The hot tub was our favorite part. I would recommend this place if you need a getaway. :)
