Cozy cottage is close to skiing, downtown Boone, and Blowing Rock. You'll love the quiet neighborhood and mountain charm. You will have the entire basement (minus pottery studio) to yourself. This is a renovated guest house that was built in 1940. It has great 1940's features, like hardwood floors, high ceilings, and large scale windows. We removed 2 major walls, which opened up kitchen/dining room /living room, to one big space. The guest-house now has an open, bright feel, with a funky, mid-century decor. Our property consists of 3 acres, yet is only one block from downtown Boone. The outside setting is very secluded and natural- with a wooded hillside, creek, and huge yard.
