Wild strawberry Shepard’s Hut with Hot Tub

Beautiful shepherds hut powered by solar for an off grid experience along the Wild Atlantic Way situated on Connemara farm land located 20 minutes from Galway city and 10 minutes from Oughterard and Lough Corrib. Sleeps 3 with a double bed and a single bed. Kitchenette with running water and gas hob, separate fire pit/BBQ area and outhouse with toilet, sink and heated shower. There is a small wood burning stove in the Shepherds hut with kindling provided. Towels and bedding are also provided.

Connemara with its gorgeous villages and Atlantic beaches are easily reached by car as is the world famous Kylemore Abbey. Galway city with its many charms is located 25kms away.

Long side Lough Corrib. .Enjoy private walks through owner’s farm and nice quiet walks to the lake and 15th century castle. Connemara, with its rugged beauty, mountains, rivers, lakes and unspoilt beaches all from the doorstep, as is The Burren. Barngables Tiny Cottage is a cosy hideaway were you can really relax. The cottage stands in its own grounds alongside Barngables Stone House which is listed separately. Just a 25 minute drive from Galway City and set in Connemara which is renowned as an area with stunning scenery the cottage is in a perfect location to explore the West of Ireland. Lough Corrib, where wild trout can be caught lies at the bottom of our lane. Oughterard is our bustling and picturesque local town.

Ballindooley Castle

The Castle rests on about half an acre of land with Ballindooley Lake lying to the south west. It is surrounded by low walls and hedges: with a gated entrance controlled by an electronic security system. Features include 3 murders holes and a dungeon The castle was built by the DeBurgo family (approximately 1480). It had the distinction of being shelled by the British Gunboat ” Helga” during the1916 Rising to disband rebels

Catherine's Cottage @ Ross Castle Galway

Catherine's Cottage is one of three courtyard cottages with three ensuite bedrooms, a full kitchen, dining/living room, washer/ dryer and underfloor heating. All of the bathrooms have heated towel rails and the bedrooms hairdryers. Sleeps maximum of 6 people. The Aran Islands, Cliffs of Moher, Ashford Castle, Kylemore Abbey, salmon/trout fishing, golf courses and horseback riding are some of many attractions of this region.

Tappy's Cottage

This quaint, quiet, 19th century cottage, rests in a timeless, peaceful setting, in the townland of Canrawer, a single kilometre from the town of Oughterard and 25 kilometers from Galway city centre. Oughterard is Galway's gateway to Connemara. Tappy's cottage is stop number 13 on the Oughterard Heritage Walk, a 2.8km walk which commences at the Owenriff Waterfall.
