Extremely clean and peaceful place. Very cute and cozy set up as well! Denise and John are excellent hosts. Upon leaving, our car unfortunately got stuck a mile out from the house in some deep snow. John saved the day and immediately came to the rescue to tow us out. His kindness and quick response saved me a lot of stress. Highly recommend John and Denise for their exceptional hospitality and willingness to go the extra mile!

Beautiful location overlooking the pond, conveniently located to towns and attractions, and private. Cozy, well stocked kitchen/cooking gear, everything you need as a contained retreat or a home base while exploring the Berkshires.

Myself, husband three year old and dog stayed at Michelle's place for three days over spring break for our first trip to the area. The house is large and very nicely decorated with all the space and amenities we needed to be comfortable. It was a treat for us to have so much space. It was fun exploring Lenox and the surrounding area with the house as a home base in a lovely neighborhood. Michelle was immediately available for any questions and always warm and helpful - we would certainly stay again in a heartbeat. Thanks for a great stay Michelle!

We loved our time here. The house was perfect—clean, well appointed, new appliances. We cooked and grilled often. Being right on Lake Buel made for pristine, beautiful mornings and evenings, meals at sunset, long leisurely talks at the lake, it was truly a wonderful time away. The more athletic among us swam and kayaked. The rest of us loved just sitting, reading and talking at the dock. The house is an easy drive to all the Berkshire sites. My only caution is parking. I wouldn’t bring more than two cars preferably sedans or small SUV’s—nothing bigger. Parking is plentiful for that, but no more. The owners were so very responsive, kind, and really helpful. They wanted to make sure we had all we needed. We had some questions at the beginning, and they were easy to reach and solved our problems. Highly, highly recommend this beautiful home.

What a lovely home! It’s in the residential neighborhood above Great Barrington, which means it’s walkable to Lake Mansfield and the trails there and also either a short drive or a nice walk to everything downtown GB has to offer. The house is squeaky clean with nice kitchen amenities, a yard, and a beautiful detached screen porch for warmer months. Perfect size for a small family and very cozy. We will be back!

The Hygge House was a lovely spot to spend my birthday weekend with my family and friends. We took advantage of so many close-by activities. But the highlights were at the house itself - paddling the canoe and kayak through the water, outdoor dinner, and s’mores at the fire pit. Jessica was also so easy to communicate with and super accommodating during a personal emergency we experienced. We loved our stay and would love to come back again soon.

The place was incredibly beautiful. The photos did not do it justice. It is in the middle of nowhere. Tina was very detailed in her instruction and one of them was that you must bring groceries because the closest grocery store is 30 minutes away. If you decide to book this place, read her detailed instructions. They are very helpful. The home offered a full kitchen which made it so easy for us to prepared our family's meals without struggling. The hot tub was such a treat. The basement had lots of games, a couch to launch and another TV. Perfect if you come with children. We were seven adults and we did not feel that we where on top of each other. The high ceiling truly made one of our boys (the giant) feel at home. Even the basement had a high ceiling. Pretty cool. Tina was incredibly nice and flexible. Check in is at 4 pm and we arrived earlier. We decided to contact her to see if it would be okay to check in earlier and she accommodated us. Thank you soooo much.

Daphne is a thoughtful and wonderful host. The property was clean, comfortable and very well appointed with everything I would need, especially in the kitchen. I highly recommend this 5-star property. It is quiet, peaceful and full of nature everywhere the eye can see.

We felt right at home in Suzanne's very cozy cabin! The decor is lovely and we were surrounded by beautiful art and antiques. An amazing fireplace and lots of firewood made for lovely evenings by the fire. There are two sliding glass doors overlooking the lake with beautiful natural light and views. The cabin is easily accessible off of established roadways, and getting in and out was a breeze, even in snow. Suzanne and Bob were very easy going hosts and we enjoyed quick and responsive communication. We had all the comforts of home in the kitchen and were able to make most of our meals right at home without a hitch. Beautiful, quiet, woodsy area within thirty minutes of most major towns, like Stockbridge, Great Barrington, and Lenox. I highly recommend Suzanne's cozy cabin and would certainly come again.
