The Bayside Farm

During travel I look for character and authenticity, and I hope to offer these to you during your stay while you visit our beaches, redwoods or the University. Private studio has a separate entry next to our 1904 farmhouse-queen bed, WIFI, private bathroom, kitchenette with electric tea kettle, airfryer/griddle and microwave. I provide organic/local coffee, cream, tea, sugar and will have some other goodies for you which will not be restocked during your stay. Please non smokers only and no pets

The Guest House

Nestled within the Jacoby Creek valley, near Humboldt Bay, with easy access to Arcata or Eureka; immersed in leafy surrounds, offering a variety of hiking and walking trails, perfect for nature lovers; this Guest House ensures peace and quiet while being only a very short drive to all amenities. The oversized covered front porch provides a weather protected outside living room area, ideal for gathering with friends and to enjoy the ducks and chickens that amble the expansive country yard.

Coastal Trail HideAway: Eco-Friendly & Peaceful

On the Hammond Coastal Trail, cozy eco-friendly bedroom suite with expanded kitchenette, full bath, private entry, deck, yard, off-street parking. Set back hidden from the road in a bamboo oasis, it’s private and peaceful. Walk or bike to nearby river, beaches, forest. Or hop on the Highway 1/3 mile away. 3.5 miles to Airport, 30 to Redwood National & State Parks. We’ll share walls so you’ll sometimes hear me, though I try to be a considerate neighbor. Your comfort is very important to me!

Cruising up the long drive-way, you'll be welcomed by our mustang, and adorable donkeys . We welcome guests of all backgrounds and love making new friends. Having lived on the North Coast for over 40 years we're a great resource to make your stay memorable.

Our renovated, quaint, studio cottage is a 10 minute walk to the Redwoods, 5 minutes to shops and a short drive to the beach. Little Buttermilk Cottage is nestled in a private garden setting in the quiet neighborhood of Sunny Brae. Come up the hill and relax out of town and still be minutes from it. Our cottage is nestled in a meadow and surrounded by the majestic redwood forest. Enjoy the sounds and sights of nature from your private front yard. Our newly renovated cottage has a modern kitchen and large windows where you can often see a family of deer grazing.
