Leven Bank luxury first floor 2 bed apartment set within the protected heritage site of the Backbarrow Ironworks (1711-1966) Furnished to a high specification with one king bedroom with en-suite, and a double bedroom with private balcony. There is also a 2nd luxury family bathroom. The stunning kitchen/dining area with a balcony facing the conserved remains of the 1770 furnace stack of the old ironworks, is complimented by a generous rear facing balcony overlooking the picturesque River Leven.

Our cosy studio flat is a perfect base for your adventure in the lake district. Located at the southern end of Windermere lake, it has great access to the rest of the Lake District for exploring and only 10 min to Cartmel racecourse. We are close to many great attractions. Ulverston the festival town is just 25 minutes' drive away. There is also a petrol station/shop 20min walk/2min drive. Grange over Sands is a lovely town to visit and have a wander along the promonade over looking the bay.

Waterside house is an ancient farmhouse which sits in a large garden surrounded by fields and woodland, it has belonged to the Finsthwaite estate since it was build in 1580 . Its historical character is shown in the large fireplace and the beams, which add to the charm. Waterside is known as the home of the “Finsthwaite Princess”. who was the alleged illegitimate daughter of Bonnie Prince Charlie. She lived in three rooms on the first floor which were panelled out of scotch pine for her.

We are dog friendly. Our 250 year old cottage features modern rustic decor, u/f heating, log burner, super-fast internet, Smart TV, Sonos sound system and a complimentary podPoint 7kw EV charger. There are many wonderful walks and bike rides available from the front door. Stays start Mondays or Fridays.
