Darcy’s Cottage is a quiet, characterful newly-refurbished one-bedroom cottage on the edge of a wood near Assington, close to Sudbury & Dedham Vale. Assington has a village shop, café and vibrant pub, with many rural walks on the doorstep. The cottage has a snug with woodburning stove, a bathroom with walk-in shower, outdoor space and a barbecue, as well as two TVs and high-speed wifi. It is next door to Brian’s Cottage, with which it shares a communicating door if needed for family use.

The Dell - Country Holiday Let

The Dell sleeps up four guests and is located in the small village of White Colne, only 15 minutes away from the oldest recorded town in the UK, Colchester. On the Essex-Suffolk border you have a great base to explore East Anglia’s towns and attractions. This is a private annex building set in the grounds of our family home. Idyllic house and gardens on estuary

A beautiful large farmhouse, dating from approximately 1600 and listed Grade II, in acres of idyllic gardens and overlooking a mile-wide river estuary. There is direct access from the bottom of the garden onto the ‘sea wall’ along the river, for walks and wonderful birdwatching. There is a duckpond (fenced) by the house and chickens (collect the eggs), and a large summerhouse with veranda in the garden, as well as a paddock of alpacas!

Relax in our wonderful cottage and enjoy a glass in the garden that has been designed and created by Harry and David Rich (known as The Rich Brothers from Garden Rescue on the BBC). The cottage has parking for two cars and is located in the centre of Bures Village, a short stroll away from the train station, two public houses, local shop, church and park. Not far away you will find the famous Bures Dragon and Chapel of Stephen.
