A beautiful, quirky cottage that was ideally suited. Very close to Newmillerdam and its restaurants and pubs. More suited to shorter guests below 5 foot 8 as the door frames, mirrors and shower are all pretty low. Beautifully decorated and very clean.

An absolutely idyllic place to stay. Beautiful peaceful surroundings and wonderful walks from the cottage. The cottage itself was spotlessly clean, very well equipped and very comfortable. Lovely beds and linen. A spacious yet cosy holiday home with lovely decorative touches. The view out of the back of the cottage is fabulous. Feels a million miles away from anyone but actually very close to Ripon and local attractions. Shanie and Tom are welcoming and friendly hosts, yet left us in peace while staying. The welcoming touches to settle in and the information pack provided were really excellent. We also enjoyed using the garden and play area which was fine for kicking a ball around in! Thank you for a lovely few days. I would love to return and would definitely recommend.

We had a fab weekend! The house is clean and tidy, the beds are super comfy and the location is very peaceful and quiet. There’s a lovely little park, a cafe, a shop and a couple of pubs all within easy walking distance. We would absolutely recommend this property and would love to visit again in the future :-)

Fantastic stay at the beautiful Dovecote Cottage. Stunning, peaceful location with amazing views (especially from the Hot Tub). Great location to explore into York, Malton or the Yorkshire Moors & Whitby or just enjoy the peaceful countryside Cozy cottage with beautiful bedrooms and lovely log burner for the evening. Great host, will be back to stay again.

Brilliant central location and wonderful suntrap garden. Lots of stairs, but not a problem for our family. Would definitely recommend

Our stay was perfect. The location is amazing, right in the heart of York and a short walk to York Minster, which we did every day to “check on her”! Eating places and pubs all close by and in the same street too. Just a wonderful experience in this beautiful medieval city. Highly recommend. And on a clear day you can see York Minster through the roof windows which was delightful.

We had an excellent stay at Wendy’s. The property was very quiet, clean and spacious and within close proximity to the town centre. Wendy is very friendly and accommodating and we would have been happy to stay for longer.

A fantastic location with all that York has to offer only a few minutes walk away. Flat was spacious and well equipped. Decor a bit dated and in need of a little refresh but nothing too awful and for the price, represented good value for money. Would recommend

This was the third time we stayed in Martin and Carmens lovely apartment while our son is studying at the university. It’s such a comfortable and well appointed place within easy reach of Leeds city centre but very quiet and peaceful.

I've stayed at this property several times, and it always lives up to my expectations. The property is always immaculately clean, and everything you could possibly need is provided. The location is ideal - just up the hill from the railway station, round the corner from the castle with its spectacular views, and only a very short walk from the River Nidd. The weather was very warm on my latest visit, but the property stayed lovely and cool - and I know from my visits in colder months that the heating works nicely when needed. The kitchen is really well appointed, with all appliances in perfect working order, and even an air fryer on my latest visit. There are plenty of cafes, pubs and restaurants only a short walk away, and the outdoor Knaresborough market takes place every Wednesday, complete with a Town Crier. I've already booked my next visit to stay here, which should give you some idea how much I like it!
